The Brief & Solution

This small urban family garden in Brighton needed a real transformation. What we started with was a total blank canvas, tired astro turf and decking that was well past its best. The one standout feature was a beautiful, established jasmine at the back of the garden, which we knew we wanted to keep and build around.

The homeowners had a brilliant sense of style and a real love of colour, and we wanted the garden to reflect that. Bert & May tiles became our starting point for introducing colour, paired with rich, vibrant planting and a water feature to bring movement and life to the space.

We explored two directions for the layout one with soft, curved lines and one with a cleaner, straight-edged design. The client was drawn to the straight design, and once it came together, we couldn't have been happier with the result.
